Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Convertora ("the service", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What Convertora is
Convertora is a free, browser-based suite of tools for converting and manipulating PDF, image, and document files. All processing happens locally in your browser — files are not uploaded to our servers. Convertora is provided to you without charge, advertisement-supported, with no signup or account required.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Convertora only for lawful purposes. You will not:
- Use the service to process files you do not have the right to process (copyrighted material, third-party confidential data, or material whose processing would breach a contract or legal obligation).
- Attempt to extract or reverse-engineer Convertora's source code beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
- Attempt to disrupt the service, overwhelm our infrastructure with automated requests, or interfere with other users' access.
- Use the service to circumvent legitimate access controls on third-party documents (for example, attempting to break encryption or DRM you do not have authorization to remove). Note that Convertora's Unlock PDF tool requires you to know the document password — it does not crack passwords.
- Use the service to produce material that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or otherwise harmful.
Your files and content
You retain all rights to the files you process through Convertora. Because processing happens entirely in your browser, we never receive a copy of your files and have no ability to access, modify, distribute, or analyze them.
You are solely responsible for the content you process and for ensuring you have the right to do so.
Service availability and changes
We aim to keep Convertora available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, add, remove, or discontinue any tool at any time without notice. We may also update these terms; significant changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of output, or non-infringement.
File conversions are inherently lossy in some cases (for example, PDF-to-Word conversion cannot reliably reproduce complex layouts; OCR is not 100% accurate; image format conversions involve quality trade-offs). You should always verify that the output meets your needs before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Convertora and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service. This includes loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, or any other commercial loss, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions where such limitations are not permitted, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Intellectual property
The Convertora name, logo, design, and original code are the property of Convertora and are protected by intellectual property laws. The service incorporates open-source libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, Tesseract.js, jsPDF, mammoth, SheetJS, JSZip, and others) used in accordance with their respective licenses.
Advertising
Convertora displays advertisements served via Google AdSense. The advertisements you see are not endorsements by Convertora. Click-throughs and transactions with advertisers are governed by those third parties' own terms and privacy policies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Convertora is operated, without regard to conflict-of- laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the use of the service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
