About Rotate Image

Sideways photos are a constant: a phone held the wrong way, a scanner feeding landscape pages as portrait, an export that ignored the orientation flag. Convertora's rotate tool turns images by 90°, 180°, or 270° and flips them horizontally or vertically — one click per operation, applied to up to 10 images at a time, with the result downloading immediately.

Rotation happens on a canvas in your browser, with no upload step. For 90° and 270° turns the canvas dimensions are swapped before drawing, so a 4000x3000 photo correctly becomes 3000x4000 — nothing is cropped, squashed, or letterboxed. Flipping mirrors the pixels across the vertical or horizontal axis at full resolution.

How to use it

  1. 1Upload up to 10 images — JPG, PNG, or WebP, up to 50 MB each.
  2. 2Click Rotate 90°, 180°, or 270° to turn every uploaded image clockwise by that amount. 270° clockwise is the same as 90° counter-clockwise.
  3. 3Or click Flip Horizontal (mirror left-right) or Flip Vertical (mirror top-bottom).
  4. 4Each image is processed and downloads automatically, named with the operation (e.g. photo-rotated-90.jpg or photo-flipped-horizontal.png).
  5. 5Need a different correction? The originals are still loaded — just click another button.

Common use cases

  • Fixing photos that were shot with the camera sideways and saved without a correct orientation flag.
  • Correcting scanned pages that came out of the scanner rotated.
  • Mirroring a selfie or webcam capture so text in the frame reads the right way.
  • Flipping product or design assets horizontally for a layout that faces the other direction.

Tips

  • If you also need to trim or scale the corrected image, rotate first — the Crop and Resize tools then work in the orientation you'll actually use.
  • Rotating PDF pages instead? That's the separate Rotate PDF tool — this one is for image files.

100% private — runs in your browser

Convertora processes everything on your device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Files never leave your browser, are never uploaded to a server, and are never seen by us or anyone else. The moment you close the tab, the data is gone — there is no temporary cloud copy, no log entry, no retained backup.

Because the work happens locally, processing speed depends on your device — but there are no rate limits, no daily caps, and no file size restrictions beyond what your browser can handle in memory. No signup, no account, no payment. The tool works the same in incognito mode, on a corporate network, or after the page has loaded once, even with the network disconnected.
