About Delete Pages from PDF

Removing pages from a PDF should be quick: mark the pages you don't want, click delete, download the result. Convertora's delete-pages tool gives you that workflow with a visual page grid, so you can see exactly what you're removing before committing. Common targets are blank pages introduced by duplex scanners, separator sheets between sections, and pages that simply don't belong in the copy you're about to send.

The selection model is deliberately explicit: pages you click turn red, and red means removed. The button label spells out the consequence — how many pages will be deleted and how many kept — so there's no ambiguity about which way the selection works.

All processing runs in your browser. The file is not uploaded anywhere, so even sensitive documents (legal, medical, financial) can be edited without transmitting them to a third party — and your original file on disk is never modified.

How to use it

  1. 1Upload your PDF (up to 100 MB). Every page is shown as a thumbnail.
  2. 2Click thumbnails to mark pages for deletion — marked pages are highlighted in red. Click again to unmark.
  3. 3Use Select All / Deselect All to flip the whole document, which is quicker when you're keeping only a few pages.
  4. 4Check the button label: it reads 'Delete N pages (keep M)' so you can confirm the math before committing.
  5. 5Click Delete. The remaining pages are copied into a new PDF and downloaded with an -edited suffix.

Common use cases

  • Stripping blank backs out of a duplex scan of single-sided originals.
  • Removing internal cover sheets or fax headers before sending a document to a client.
  • Cutting the pages of a form you don't need to return — keep the signature page, drop the instructions.
  • Deleting an outdated section from a bundled report without touching the source files.

Tips

  • Keeping 3 pages out of 80? Hit Select All (marking everything for deletion), then unmark the three keepers — far faster than clicking 77 thumbnails.
  • To extract pages rather than remove them, the Split PDF tool is the mirror image of this one: there, selected pages are the ones you keep.

100% private — runs in your browser

Convertora processes everything on your device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Files never leave your browser, are never uploaded to a server, and are never seen by us or anyone else. The moment you close the tab, the data is gone — there is no temporary cloud copy, no log entry, no retained backup.

Because the work happens locally, processing speed depends on your device — but there are no rate limits, no daily caps, and no file size restrictions beyond what your browser can handle in memory. No signup, no account, no payment. The tool works the same in incognito mode, on a corporate network, or after the page has loaded once, even with the network disconnected.
