Can the watermark be removed?

It's painted into the pixels, so there's no layer to switch off. A determined person with editing skills can reconstruct the underlying image where the watermark crosses simple areas, which is why the tiled mode at moderate opacity is the strongest option — it overlaps the detailed parts of the image that are hardest to repaint.

Can I change the watermark color?

The text renders in black at the opacity you choose, so at the default 0.3 it appears as a translucent gray. That works well on light and mid-tone images; on a very dark photo a black watermark won't show, so raise the opacity or place the mark over a lighter region of the frame.

Can I use a logo image instead of text?

This tool is text-only. The PDF Watermark tool is similarly text-based for PDFs; for compositing a logo onto a photo you'd currently need an image editor.

Does watermarking change the file format or quality?

The output keeps the input format — JPG stays JPG (re-encoded at high quality), PNG stays PNG with transparency intact. The one exception is browsers that can't re-encode WebP (some Safari versions), where the file falls back to PNG and is named accordingly.

The text is drawn directly into the image's pixels on a canvas in your browser, so the watermark is part of the picture, not a removable layer, and the files never leave your machine. The tiled mode repeats the text diagonally across the whole image, which is the placement that actually deters reuse: a single corner mark can be cropped away in seconds, but a tile pattern overlaps the subject everywhere.

How to use it

1Upload up to 10 images — JPG, PNG, or WebP, up to 50 MB each.
2Type the watermark text: a name, '© 2026 Your Studio', 'PROOF', or anything else.
3Pick a position. Center places one instance in the middle; Bottom Right puts a discreet mark in the corner; Tiled repeats the text diagonally across the full image.
4Set the font size (8-200 px) and opacity (0.1-1.0). The default — 36 px at 0.3 opacity — reads clearly without burying the photo.
5Click to apply. Each image is processed and downloaded with a '-watermarked' suffix.
