About Resize PDF Pages

PDF pages have a fixed physical size, and the world disagrees about what it should be: most countries use A4, North America uses US Letter, and legal work adds Legal into the mix. Print an A4-laid-out PDF on Letter paper without converting and the printer crops or shrinks unpredictably. Convertora's page-size tool rewrites the geometry properly: every page is resized to your chosen standard, with the content scaled uniformly to fit and centered.

Crucially, interactive elements travel with the content. Links, annotations, and form fields are repositioned and rescaled by the same transform applied to the page, so a fillable form resized from Letter to A4 still has its fields sitting exactly on their boxes — the failure mode that breaks naive resizing tools.

Five standard targets are offered: A4, US Letter, Legal, A3, and A5. Scaling is always proportional — content is never stretched or distorted, so a slight size mismatch becomes even margins rather than warped text.

How to use it

  1. 1Upload your PDF (up to 100 MB).
  2. 2Pick the target size: A4 (210 × 297 mm), Letter (8.5 × 11 in), Legal (8.5 × 14 in), A3, or A5.
  3. 3Click Resize. Each page's content is scaled uniformly to fit the new dimensions and centered; annotations and form fields are moved along with it.
  4. 4Download the result, saved with the target size in the filename.

Common use cases

  • Converting an A4 document to US Letter before sending it to an American office, or vice versa.
  • Normalizing a merged file whose sources used different page sizes, so it prints as one consistent document.
  • Enlarging a dense A4 layout to A3 for review markup, or shrinking to A5 for compact booklet printing.
  • Meeting a filing system's requirement that all submissions be a specific page size.

Frequently asked questions

Tips

  • A4 and Letter differ by only a few percent, so conversions between them are visually invisible — convert without hesitation when a recipient asks.
  • Resize before adding page numbers or headers: stamps applied earlier get scaled along with the content and may end up smaller than intended.

100% private — runs in your browser

Convertora processes everything on your device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Files never leave your browser, are never uploaded to a server, and are never seen by us or anyone else. The moment you close the tab, the data is gone — there is no temporary cloud copy, no log entry, no retained backup.

Because the work happens locally, processing speed depends on your device — but there are no rate limits, no daily caps, and no file size restrictions beyond what your browser can handle in memory. No signup, no account, no payment. The tool works the same in incognito mode, on a corporate network, or after the page has loaded once, even with the network disconnected.
