Will the content lose quality when scaled?

Text and vector graphics scale with no quality loss — they're resolution-independent. Embedded photos are simply displayed at a slightly different physical size; between A4 and Letter the change is a few percent and imperceptible.

What happens when the aspect ratios don't match?

Content is scaled to the largest size that fits entirely, then centered — the mismatch becomes a small, even margin on two sides. Nothing is cropped, and nothing is stretched.

Do form fields and links stay aligned?

Yes. Their rectangles are transformed with the same scale and offset as the page content, so clickable areas and fillable boxes remain exactly on top of their visual counterparts.

Can I set a custom page size?

Not currently — the five standard sizes cover the overwhelming majority of real cases. For trimming margins rather than changing the paper size, the Crop PDF tool is the right instrument.

My document has mixed page sizes. What happens?

Every page is resized to the target independently, so the output is uniform regardless of how inconsistent the input was — a common cleanup after merging scans from different sources.
